Executives And Officers As Employees
As a general
rule, corporate executives are considered employees whether they are
injured while performing traditionally managerial duties or laborer
duties. However, where an executive or officer is also a controlling
shareholder, he may only be eligible for benefits if he is injured
while performing worker duties rather than supervisory duties. In
contrast, members of a partnership are never treated as employees and
are therefore ineligible for benefits.
